Salty’s BBQ is one of Guy Fieri’s (Food Channel Diner’s, Drive-Ins & Dives Show host) Top 5 BBQ Restaurants in the country. Jeff Saulter’s is the owner and actually has two restaurants in the area with this being the bigger of the two. Jeff has a wide variety of BBQ items on his menu to include salads, sandwiches, Combos and A La Carte. You can choose from Chicken, Pulled Pork, Tri-tip, Brisket, and Hot Links for your meal selections just to name a few. It is excellent BBQ and you will not be disappointed!
After lunch we will turn right out of the parking lot and then make a right onto Ashe Road and travel south to Panama Lane (3.7 miles). We will then turn right on Panama Lane and travel west and then turn left on Old River Road and travel south to Highway 166 (16.9 miles). We will turn right and travel west on Highway 166 for 14.8 miles and make a final stop at the Shell Station in Maricopa to say our goodbyes and top off if you would like.
